Animating the passenger journey for a Heathrow terminal
The challenge
Heathrow Airport wished to develop a future vision of technology in the passenger journey at its airport. The key purpose was to inform new developments and to understand how a passenger may interact with technologies.
Our role
o&i consulting created a 3D animated walkthrough to showcase the future passenger journey through Heathrow Airport. The animation follows a passenger through the terminal and demonstrates how he may engage with new technologies.
To create this visualisation we developed a journey through a ‘terminal of the future’ with all the facilities and new technologies in their planned location. We animated each stage of the individual processes as well as end-to-end processes.
3D drawings of the model were also used to showcase the facility and processes for presentation purposes.
